Kitwe · 2024, 2025 & 2026
Medical support for major marathons involving more than 6,000 runners and spectators across 5 km, 10 km, 21 km and 42 km routes. Deployments included route coverage, first aid, ambulance response, communication and evacuation planning.
Reported outcome: An average of 100 people assisted per year, with an average response time of under 3 minutes at these events.
Workplace & community training
Practical first aid and emergency-response training: Basic First Aid for 9 participants and Advanced First Aid for 2 participants. Programmes can be adapted to occupational risks and participant needs.
Reported outcome: 10 of 11 participants completed training and received certificates. One participant did not complete the training.

Marathon medical coverage with on-site teams providing casualty care. The profile reports no fatalities during these events.

Specialised patient transport
A private transfer from a health centre to an aircraft for medical evacuation. Pick-up to handover was completed within 10 minutes, with the patient handed over safely to the receiving medical team. Clinical teams and transport resources are selected according to patient acuity, distance and receiving-facility requirements.
